Psychological Evaluations for Third-Party Reproduction

We provide psychological evaluations for third-party reproduction for gestational carriers, donors, and intended parents across a broad range of U.S. states. Evaluations are conducted via secure telehealth and tailored to the specific requirements of each clinic, agency, and jurisdiction.

Whether you are an egg donor, sperm donor, gestational carrier, or intended parent, our approach is thorough, structured, and grounded in current ASRM guidance, with attention to clarity, professionalism, and the emotional realities of third-party reproduction.

We are a team of licensed clinicians within Rachel Goldberg Therapy, led by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and active members of SEEDS and the Mental Health Professionals Group (MHPG) within ASRM. Services are provided through a combination of direct state licensure, reciprocity, and PsyPact authorization, allowing evaluations to be completed across most U.S. states, including non PsyPact States, California, New York, Oregon, and Hawaii.

All evaluations are conducted virtually and coordinated as needed with agencies, clinics, and legal teams.

Types of Evaluations Offered

Gestational Carrier Psychological Evaluations

Comprehensive clinical interviews and standardized psychological testing (PAI) to assess readiness, motivation, support systems, emotional stability, expectations, and alignment with third-party reproduction guidelines.

Egg Donor and Sperm Donor Psychological Evaluations

Focused assessments evaluating emotional readiness, understanding of the donation process, motivation, personal and family history, and long-term considerations related to donor conception.

Intended Parent and Recipient Parent Consultations

Consultations commonly required by clinics and agencies to explore expectations, communication and decision-making dynamics, emotional preparedness, boundary setting, and future disclosure planning.

Embryo Donation Consultations

Evaluations for both donors and recipients in directed (identified) and nonidentified arrangements, structured to meet clinic or agency-specific protocols.

Re-evaluations and Follow-Ups

Available for prior clients beginning a new journey, including intended parents working with a subsequent gestational carrier or donor.

Turnaround and Documentation

  • Reports delivered within 5 business days
